Digital Projection’s innovative, modular Satellite Modular Laser System (MLS) has found a new home in Munich’s historic Gärtnerplatztheater, one of the busiest opera houses in Germany.
Specified by the Gärtnerplatztheater’s head of video, WE ARE VIDEO’s Raphael Kurig, and provided by Digital Projection’s German partner ETHA, the new projector system is supplied in TITAN Satellite MLS form, with three light-source modules per projector providing 26,000 ISO lumens’ illumination at 4K-UHD resolution.

Titan Laser Projectors illuminate The Kunstareal
In late 2020, the city of Munich wanted to create a projection mapping show on New Year’s Eve, but due to coronavirus restrictions, the plans had to change. It was decided instead that a semi-permanent installation would be more appropriate, enabling as many people as possible to see the attraction whilst maintaining a suitable social distance. The chosen location was The Kunstareal which is a museum quarter in the city centre of Munich, where numerous cultural institutions, universities and museums are located.

Tokyo Sparkle Pageant, a projection mapping and water light show hosted by the Tokyo government, is part of the commemorative project for the first anniversary of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The spectacular water and light show runs every weekend from 15th October to 25th December at Odaiba Marine Park, in the Tokyo Bay area, where many of the Olympic events were held.
