For more than 75 years, London’s underground postal railway – Mail Rail – has been a vital artery in Britain’s communication network, hidden from view. Now, thanks to Digital Projection’s award-winning laser projection systems, Mail Rail has been transformed into an exceptional and unique visitor attraction, preserving this important piece of British history and sharing it with generations to come via an immersive, innovative and impactful exhibition.
The 2023 show, which raised money for projects benefiting underprivileged children and young people, celebrated Austria for Life’s comeback after a hiatus in 2022. It was broadcast live on ORF 1, the main public TV channel in Austria, and featured a spectacular video-mapped show on the façade of the 18th-century Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna – a mapping canvas equivalent to 11 million pixels – courtesy of Vienna-based projection specialist 4youreye.
In addition to the 21 high-tech artworks and virtual experiences on display, visitors to a forward-thinking new exhibition in Switzerland will have front-row seats for another technological first: the combination of Digital Projection’s Satellite MLS system with MultiView 3D projection technology to help reconstruct Michaelsberg Abbey, a 1,000-year-old Benedictine church in the UNESCO world heritage site of Bamberg, Germany.
One of Europe’s largest exhibition centres for contemporary art and photography, Deichtorhallen Hamburg is renowned for the quality of its exhibits which are visited by thousands of people from all over the world each year. From February to May 2018 it played host to PROOF; a landmark exhibition which brought together the works of three major artists spanning the eighteenth to the twenty-first centuries and three continents – with Digital Projection’s E-Vision Laser 10K projectors playing a central role in its impactful execution.
Danny Rose Studio, the collective behind the current “Spirit of Japan” art exhibition at the Kadokawa Culture Museum, has deployed more than 30 Digital Projection E-Vision Laser 10K projectors to illuminate the floors, ceilings and walls of this spectacular venue.
