  International Space Station Control Centre

  Missions rarely come more critical than International Space Station (ISS) control. So, as the projectors at The Columbus Control Center – responsible for the European module of the ISS – became increasingly problematic towards end of life, vital succession decisions had to be made by Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), the German aeronautics and space research centre and national space agency. Digital Projection outshone the competition at tender, providing the ‘best specification for the price’ with four star-quality E-Vision Laser 8500 laser projectors, one providing redundancy.

  KONGSBERG Ship’s Bridge Simulation Centre

  As the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority’s (SMPA) Integrated Ship’s Bridge Simulation Centre approached its tenth anniversary, it was headed towards the open water of a like-for-like lamped projection upgrade, until Digital Projection turned the tide with the launch of its stable solid-state laser phosphor light source projection technology, the HIGHlite Laser.

  Laser Projectors at CentraleSupélec

  Born in 2015 out of the merger between two leading French engineering schools – Supélec and the Paris École Centrale – CentraleSupélec recently inaugurated its third campus: Completing its first scholar year, the new Paris-Saclay campus joins the existing ones in Rennes and Metz, offering more learning opportunities to a total of 4,200 students . Situated on the outskirts of South West Paris, this new, architecturally ambitious campus is the result of a six year consultation and piece of work, driving towards the goal of facilitating exchanges and interactions between all stakeholders via wide open spaces that represent the university’s value of knowledge sharing.

  M-Vision Laser 18K Maps History onto Bavarian Baroque Masterpiece

  Passau, located in Bavaria in the South of Germany, is steeped in history rich with Baroque influence. The city’s design is dominated by large squares, romantic promenades and majestic bridges, and framed by the Veste Oberhaus castle and the Mariahilf monastery, the historical centre looks like a floating ship. At the heart of its spectacular skyline is St Stephen’s Cathedral – created in the 17th century by Italian Baroque masters and home to the largest cathedral organ in the world. This was the impressive backdrop for ‘Symphony of Light and Sound’ – a videomapping showcase displayed on the façade of the imposing building.

  Astra Film Festival is a spectacular yearly event, held in Sibiu, Romania, a former European capital of culture. The festival, a major event in the European film community, lasts just over a week and welcomes movie fans of all ages to venues across the city – most famously the fully immersive Full Dome.

  Italian luxury fashion house Bulgari recently relied on the power, brightness and reliability of Digital Projection’s TITAN and M-Vision range to give Dubai’s iconic Gate Building a serpentine makeover in celebration of the 75th anniversary of its Serpenti iconic collection.

  Founded in 1884, Bulgari is famous for its luxury jewellery, watches and accessories. This year, the brand celebrates the 75th anniversary of Serpenti, a snake emblem that has exalted almost every Bulgari watch and piece of jewellery, with a worldwide tour. Between 15th and 24th September, Dubai played host to Serpenti: 75 Years of Infinite Tales, a celebration of the grandeur of Serpenti’s heritage. At the heart of the milestone event held at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) gate, was an immersive projection mapping show, implemented by Dubai-based projection mapping expert company Artabesk LLC and brought to life by Digital Projection’s award-winning laser projectors.
